Keep them in a closed, preferably, locked
space. Never carry any in a purse as kids love looking in there for treats.
Watch grandmother's purse when she visits-- they are often full of
medications, potentially dangerous to the baby.

Never store poisonous substances in empty jars
or soda bottles or anything else resembling a safe household product

Be especially careful with sharp objects such
as knives and scissors

Lower the crib mattress

Get down on the floor-a baby's eye view-and
see what's interesting, then move it

Empty buckets or small pools immediately after
use

Ensure that swimming pools have a four-sided
fence with a self-closing, self-latching gate

Do not leave heavy objects or containers of
hot liquids on tables with tablecloths that the baby may pull down

Keep pet food and dishes out of reach
