· Make sure you have a car seat for the baby to go home in. (Free car seat check 687-3366)
· Make sure that the mattress is snug in the crib and that there is no extra bedding in it
· No walkers-ever!!! Take back any you get as a shower present and get one without wheels
· Get smoke detectors and make sure the ones you have work
· Set the hot water thermostat for less than 120 degrees F
· Make everywhere, especially the home and car, smoke free
· Consider taking a class on infant CPR
